Stewardship in a UU Congregation
"What an astonishing gift in these times to help create and sustain a community that offers hope, challenge, a vision of who we can be, faith in our ability to work toward that vision, affirmation of the sacredness of all life, and a reminder of the relationships that make us stronger and wiser and more courageous."
Rev. Jodi Cohen Hayashida, UU Minister
The River of Grass UU Congregation exists, as our Mission Statement states, "to nurture our spirits, love intentionally, and to create a just and healthy planet". Your financial contribution is essential to our shared mission. This congregation belongs to each of us. We pledge to fund the daily operations and to ensure that the congregation and its resources are here for us and for others now and in the future.
Your pledge supports our staff, worship, music programs, religious education programming, community outreach, and wider connections to Unitarian Universalism. Our annual budget reflects our mission and vision - who and what we want to be in this world and how we want to make a difference and effectuate much needed change and promote radical love.
When pledging remember that, at River of Grass, we place a high value on diversity in our congregation—diverse views, backgrounds, and experiences. Included in this diversity is a diversity of economic circumstances. All of us support our congregation at individual financial levels.
