"CHIP IN FOR A CHAIR" CAMPAIGN: Lighten the Load!
During our Annual Meeting, it was recommended and voted on by our Congregation that we would buy 150 new chairs for the sanctuary! A blessing! Our new choice has higher backs, wider seats, and offers a sturdier, more comfortable cushion.
As many members have come forward and offered to “buy” a number of chairs to lighten this $7,000 bill, we thought it appropriate that we offer this opportunity to all members and friends. So here is your chance to participate: You can buy one or more chairs at $50 each, or an amount lesser or greater toward the total bill Your contributions may be made online at River of Grass or by check with a note in the memo line indicating “Chair Campaign” and the number of chairs your contribution covers (or any amount you wish to donate). The check can be dropped into the collection box or plate or mailed to River of Grass directly.
Each chair costs $50, including tax, shipping, and dollies for storage and mobility. This Campaign is open to all members, friends and guests. Our new chairs will arrive mid to late August. (Older chairs will be repurposed in other areas with the balance donated or sold.)
We’ll have a “sit-in” to welcome our new seating and celebrate our choice AND all those contributing to the “Chip In For A Chair" Campaign will be recognized!
