Our Mission:
Provide a foundation of financial security while supporting the covenant and mission of the River of Grass Unitarian Universalist Congregation by maintaining multiple funds exclusively for charitable, religious and educational purposes, including purchasing real estate, outside of the congregation's operating budget.
As of January 2021, our six Trustees oversee over $898,000 in the Capital Fund dedicated to making a reality of our new congregational home. Conservative investment and isolation from the annual budget process is what we do to assure our future. As of February 1, 2021, including additional money inside the church corporation, the total Capital Fund was $1,067,653.
Second, we Trustees administer the Legacy Fund, intended to attract bequests to further the ministry of our community outside of the scope of the annual budget. Currently, this fund has over $5,200 and is intended to distribute and not accumulate money.
Our Trustees are elected by the Congregation at their Annual Meeting in May. Three of the six are elected each year, and serve for a term of two years. From amongst themselves, the Trustees elect a President, maybe a Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
Our Policies and Procedures outline our day-to-day operations and can be found on the Member's Only Section of this website.
