Membership at River of Grass Unitarian Universalist Congregation means embracing Unitarian Universalist principles and values, including affirming the worth and dignity of every human being, truth seeking, freedom of thought and expression, and safeguarding the interdependent web of which we are a part. Guided by these principles, each individual's spiritual and religious quest is honored. For more information, please see https://www.uua.org/beliefs/what-we-believe.
Membership also means committing to making River of Grass your spiritual home and contributing in all ways you can to the mission and life of River of Grass. As a member, you will have the right to vote at all congregational meetings, chair committees, and assume leadership roles in congregational life.
All members become stewards of the congregation and the UU faith through the donation of their time, talent, and treasure. As a member, you will be invited to become involved in the life of the congregation and to make an annual monetary pledge, according to your own situation, to support its financial health.
Your membership in the River of Grass Congregation is formalized through the simple act of signing the Membership Book in a New Member Ceremony during a Sunday morning worship service. These ceremonies are held three-four times a year.
In order to begin the membership process, please attend worship services and participate in as many congregational activities as you can! With open hearts, we welcome visitors and new friends to all our activities.
If you have not already, please fill out the Visitor Information Request at the link below. Filling out this form means you will begin receiving the weekly congregational email full of information about upcoming activities. It is the best way to stay informed. The email comes out every Thursday.
